1997 Welcome to the Guardian Angels' Home Drome. If you're trying to join the Guardian Angels please use the recruitment link and subsequent link to our Recruiting Officer; using the email link on that page. Now we would like to take a few minutes to tell you a little about who we are and where we came from. Guardian Angel Founder Air25, on a hot and balmy Southern night in August 1997, was dreaming of a place where friends could get together, through mutual support and cooperation, to better their skills as cyber pilots and the game community as a whole. The Guardian Angels where conceived as an honorable squadron with great skill and courage. Now into the 21st century we have realized that goal and left our mark on the gaming community. At first we were flyers in the Air Warrior arena. Somewhere around September of 97' Air25 asked Prop2u to assume the position of Red Baron Wing *CO* and form the new wing of the Guardian Angels continuing the tradition of flying in WW1 flight sims. With the help of Major Doolittle the RB wing was off and running and it wasn't long before we were roaming the skies in two arenas, AW and RB2 leaving our mark in a positive manner. By the summer of 1999 there was great turmoil in the squadron with two big moves looming overhead. Little knowest to us the AW WW1 arena was soon to be terminated. The G^A led a vigilant battle to save the Sim, unfortunately to no avail. Near the same time frame the RB2 community was fast dying due to poor server performance, reliability and the inability to field more than four players total per sortie due to the game's limitations. Seems the almighty dollar dealt the G^A two hard blows in a short time. Designer dollars and resources were being moved to newer venues. As fate would have it the majority of the AW wing moved to Dawn Of Aces while the RB2 wing transferred most of it's folks over to the much larger and usually more user friendly Red Baron 3D capable of massive multi player servers limited only by server bandwidth. Our membership up to this point was very stable and generally showed a steady increase in numbers. Due to the transfer of RB2 to 3D some of the squad remained in RB2 for personal reasons and created their own squadron, The Shark Club 'SC'. Since then the RB wing has remained stable with numbers consistently growing. Many from our DOA wing have also decided to move to the RB3D arena as of late and we are now a formidable squadron with the 'manpower' to field our own wing in any future battles.
What the future brings is uncertain but one thing is sure, we are here to stay and we are sticking with our founding father's insight and diligence in the matter of honor and ethics. Pride in its members and pride in its ability is what sets the Guardian Angels apart as 'The Last Knights of the Skies'.
