General Info
- If you arbitrarily "lob" your explosives you'll end
up hardening your target or at least make it much more difficult to
destroy.
- You should plan your "run in" to your target from
high above the target to avoid enemy interception yet plan on rolling
out on the target far enough out and below the AA which will quickly
destroy your aircraft if you are much above roof top level.
- Be very careful when using rockets and bullets
because they will usually pass through the target hitting whatever is
behind it. Keep this in mind though, you can use this to your
advantage as well. But be careful not to hit vehicles and such on the
other side of buildings that you intend to destroy.
- If you happen to hit a truck, especially the
ambulance plan on spending about twice as long dropping that target.
- Simply damage a structure with a bomb and press
on!!! This is usually enough for the game to consider that structure
either severely damaged or destroyed which is all you need.
- If this doesn't work, try using your machine guns
to finish the place and save your bombs for nearby targets.
- The game gives you 10 bombs. Use them wisely!
- Regular Ammo is by far the best ammo for ALL
purposes in this game unless you like looking at flames or want to
flame an opponent in flight.
Target Tactics by target type
Village / Town
- One building, use a few bursts of regular ammo, easy enough,
these are great targets.
- When
you encounter the three bldg variety best move on to another target. But
if you must, put rounds on the buildings and a bomb
on the church building. That should do it.
- You can do them all in with just ammo too if you
like.
- Generally speaking the villages with three
buildings aren't worth your time or effort. You can get more points
with the same amount of ammo elsewhere, RR, Factory, Dump. If this is
the only thing left in the sector

Rail Yard
- Simple enough, a couple rounds of ammo on the building to
drop it and your all done. If not take out
the locomotives next!

Bridges
- These guys can be swift or take forever and why the
difference is uncertain to me but if you try this it will result in
success more often than failure.
- Hit the two end spans then move on and you'll
notice slightly narrower strips on the bridge, these are the supports
along the bridge. Aim for them after the end spans if the bridge
hasn't fallen. Ammo or rockets on the spans works too.

Factory
- They are protected by AAA but no AA making them
easy prey from slightly higher altitudes.
- Concentrate on the buildings with the smoke stacks.
- Once again don't worry about "flattening" the
structure, a direct hit with any results at all will suffice. Hit one
and move on!!!
- Whatever you do, don't hit long and nail a truck,
the factory will be much more difficult to destroy if you do.

Supply Depot
- These come in two flavors, the "big" building sort
and the tent/shed variety.
- The "big" is easy, use the "L" key and view your
target on the way inbound. This view will direct you to one or two
buildings. Hit only those buildings and YOU'RE DONE. If you hit
anything else you'll likely have to finish them all.
- If you are inbound to the tent/shed variety simply
line yourself up with the "rows" and blast away with regular ammo.
Take out two rows (total of 5 - 6 tens or sheds) and it's down!
- You can quickly take this type of depot down with
just ammo by nailing approximately 3 tents and 3 sheds.
- Bombs will help you do the job quicker but you can
save those for another nearby target.

Aerodrome
- These come in many varieties with only two primary
patterns.
- The key here is not to hit the ambulance and
concentrate on hitting only the hanger & headquarter
structures. No trucks, towers, machine gun nests,
trenches etc.
- If there's two bombers at the target one may
want to concentrate on the AA while the other bombs.
- You can take out the largest of dromes by
yourself with a single bomb load if you concentrate on
the hangers alone.
- ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT FLATTENING THE
STRUCTURE
- Because of ping and lag, if you try to drop a
target with a wingman/men then you should have a plan as to which
structures you will engage as individuals. Nailing the same structures
is a waste of time and ammunition.
- It's recommend that if you have the time and no
threats looming nearby take the facility one at a time with the others
providing Combat Air Patrol (CAP), cover overhead, above AA altitude.

Sight
Picture
-
By looking
at these photos you'll see a clear pattern of release
points at their finest.
-
The references used are with the
G^A invis panel installed and flying the Alb D2 or the N17.
-
There are similar points on all panels.
You'll just have to find yours.
-
Speed and altitude are the greatest
considerations, make sure you work on keeping them constant!!
