Enter + Backspace Acts like autopilot in a climb mode. You need to have the Aircraft in a wings level climbing configuration first. The rudder still works this way and this will retain your previous J-stick input. You CAN do everything you want to do as long as you press and hold down enter while you are doing it. For example to look for N's, L's, E's, or F's, press and hold enter then press "N", "L", "E", or "F", then just repress backspace and you can let go again. This also works with your views, chat, etc  If you need to get out of this mode just hit enter.
Backspace + Insert or Home or Delete or End or Page Dn o/ Page Up (MP) Use Macros. You can set up your own macros in
C/Sierra/RedBaron3D/mplayer.ini  Use Notepad to open it

STICK CONFIG

A good stick configuration is the key to success in this game. If your stick isn't programmable than you will only progress so far. A good stick config should include at the absolute minimum;

Fire=Spacebar
N=Nearest Aircraft
F1=Full Dash
F3=Half Dash/Outside
E=Enemy

Additional commands that enhance your ability to survive are;

F=Friendly Aircraft
L=Landmark

VON'S STICK REVIEWS

**Microsoft's SideWinder Series seems to be the preferred stick for RB3D. It is fully programmable to include the hat positions. The Force Feedback version is a poor performer as it looses the force feedback at inopportune times and it hogs system resources. The plus is that when the force feedback is working a mild buffet is felt just prior to an actual stall allowing you to concentrate on the enemy not your airspeed.

**Logitech's Wingman series is also good but is a little weak in the rudder department but the stick including the hat is fully programmable once you download the updated drivers. I haven't tried the Force Feedback stick yet.

**I'm currently trying out the Saitek Rumble Force and it is ok but I like the SideWinder Better, the hat is not programmable. The same mild shake occurs on this stick just prior to the actual stall and the force feedback although not as in-depth as the Sidewinder is very reliable however on occasion in extreme maneuvers the stick likes to randomly input a keystroke which causes the view to change into the interior slewable mode. Overall this effect is easier to overcome than the total loss of force feedback that I experienced with the Sidewinder.

Overall, if you don't absolutely have to have a Force Feedback stick, I'd stay away from it. It takes away from overall game performance and isn't necessary to become a good pilot in RB3D.
