Guardian Angels Bylaws, Ethics and Honor
The Guardian Angel's (G^A) fly by a strict code of Ethics and Honor. We will be more than happy to help others when we can, and to show them what we know so they too can become better pilots and enjoy themselves while flying on a game simulator. We Fly With Honor and Respect at all Times. Honor among pilots means a great deal to the Guardian Angel's. It is our Code of Honor that sets us apart from many other WWI fighter squadrons.

From Air25*FNDR*
1. No vulching period! This rule does not apply in RBWL, it is considered part of the realistic battle events simulated during this tournament. During everyday flying we consider vulching the act of, shooting down a disabled aircraft just to get the credit for a kill, shooting other aircraft prior to takeoff or stealing someone else's kill in the last seconds prior to them impacting terra-firma. It is our belief that vulching is not a skill, but a sign of weakness. Point hogs vulch, honorable pilots do not. Even if a G^A is being vulched it is not acceptable to vulch back. We'll deal with that issue later on in this text. If one of our pilots vulches and it can be proven through a hearing process, that pilot will be expelled with no second chances.
2. Honor ammo calls! You'll be told during which engagements this rule does not apply, this rule does not apply in RBWL for example. If you read an ammo call it is your duty as an honorable pilot to allow that pilot to "RTB", return to base. It is recognized that in the heat of battle a G^A pilot might not see an ammo call and shoot an opponent down. This is acceptable behavior, but this is not an excuse to use day after day. If you are shot down unfairly on an ammo call you should let your squad mates know and as a squad we can teach the violating pilot what honor is all about. We are truly the "Last Knights of the Skies" and should act that way. Honoring fuel calls is not required.
3. No profanity! G^A's will not swear on open chat. Swearing is discouraged at all times. If you have something to say to another pilot involving profanity take it to a chat room if you must. No put downs on open chat! Again if you become upset with another pilot take it to a private setting and have it out. Name calling, intimidation, or harassment are types of verbal communication not appropriate for open chat. Open chat should be used for positive communication and not as a weapon. Of course, you want to use open chat to coordinate combat with other pilots and your squad mates.
4. Try to attend squad nights! Our squad nights are planned in such a way that the majority of our pilots can be there. We also like to set them up at a time when other squads are flying to increase the chances of major furballs. This is not a requirement, but please try to attend. These nights are designed for getting together, having fun, scheduling training, sharing new moves and letting the other squads know the G^A's are an honorable and skilled group of fliers. We currently get together every Tuesday night at 9pm/6pm EST/PST. We also set up wars with other squads and have a history of flying in the Red Baron World League Tournament. These are a lot of fun!! Try to make as many of these as you can. We have a history doing very well against all enemies and would like that tradition to continue.
5. Rank is not used within our organization, we use Titles to denote the folks that are responsible for key positions within the Red Baron Wing and is determined by honorable behavior, participation, helping your squad mates, longevity, skill in the air and the Arena you fly in. Point accumulation is not a factor in promotions. New pilots will be assigned the rank of <G^A>Your Call Sign here*CDT* and will be on probation for one month. Titles are CO, ACO, XO & RO. Contact us for a list of duties and responsibilities pertaining to each title and your chances for filling one of these slots once you've been with us for awhile.
6. Our training program is a major plus for all pilots! We have some of the best pilots around; some have been flying for many years. Take advantage of the skills these pilots have by requesting training. As your CO, ACO and XO we believe that a good pilot never stops learning. Therefore, it is important that we share information with each other to foster this growth. Anytime a fellow G^A asks for training we are obligated to give it. This training should take place at a mutually established time. We need to be cautious about non-squad members with whom we share information. Helping others is an important part of being a G^A, but use good judgment. Do not share ideas that hurt the G^A or divulge corporate knowledge.
7. Macro use should be appropriate! Macros should be used that are in good taste and reflect our honorable code. The use of the word kill has no place in our macros. The macro we would encourage all G^A's to use is- "All men are destined to die, only Angels continue to fly." All other macros are your choice. Be creative and have fun with these! Get with your Squad mates on how these are set up in your respective arena.
8. Fighting in formations is encouraged so we can defend each other. The wingman principal is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. More and more squads are protecting their members by flying loose formation. We do not consider this dishonorable ganging and it is permissible behavior. If you want to fight 1-vs-1 with another pilot let your wing men know as well as the opposing pilots.
9. Any pilot who is accused of dishonorable behavior by another pilot, G^A or otherwise, has the right to a hearing before the G^A "Top Three". The Top Three consists of CO, ACO & XO. It is this group of pilots that decide if the "offending" pilot is guilty or not and what the punishment should be. Removal or probation are the possible consequences for violating these bylaws. The "offending" pilot has a right to appeal the decision to the G^A's CCO and founder of the Guardian Angels, Air25. His decision will be final
10. Hacks, enhancements and add-ons; It's rather unfortunate that we had to add this statement but it needs to be addressed. NO HACKS, that means NO HACKS will be used in affiliation with or by members of this squadron. From time to time enhancements come out that do exactly that, enhance the game as far as all are concerned. These are fine and may be used if the RB community is willing embrace them. If the enhancement gives you or gives the perception that it gives you an unfair edge or distracts from honorable game play then it is unauthorized for use by members of this squadron. If you are still in doubt, don't use it, pass it along to the squadron supervision and they will make the final determination. The penalty for use is removal from the squad on the first offense. Using obvious enhancements on posted or locked servers that are running for that specific enhancement is exempt from this rule. We don't want to discourage experimentation or experience that can catch future "HACKS" in the act. Finally, These bylaws apply to all of us with no exceptions. Certain portions can be modified and amended, but the honor we stand for will never perish. Go make us proud and live the honor and glory that belonged to the "Last Knights of the Skies" the World War I pilots!!!!!
